We grow, we fall, and we grow again.

As I watch the leaves fall from the trees and admire their beauty I can't help but think how the tree shows no emotion.

Why do we as humans look at change as a barrier to growth or let it create difficulties in our life?

A tree knows that it will blossom again in the Spring, it does not show signs of fatigue or frustration in the fact that it works for 75% of the year just to develop its full bloom and provide the leaves, the fruits, the beauty for a short time. Then without hesitation, as Fall continues to progress, the leaves simplay dwindle away. The tree lays bare and starts over again. It conserves energy, it does not run in fear of "what ifs". The tree never asks, what if Spring does not come, what if my leaves do not grow, what if my fruit does not produce?

Watching this process take place over and over again gives me focus. No matter what life is throwing at me or anyone around me, the truth is; life will go on, Spring will come again, it will bring new life, new abundance, and new opportunity. Why do we as humans get stuck in rumination about things that are out of our control? I urge you as you look to venture through your next part of life, be like the trees. Stay focused on what you can control, continue to grow your branches, connect with others, provide shade and support. When it's time for your Spring bloom, you will have grown and you will have more resources to provide to yourself, your family, and others around you.
